Snetterton race report page 3For the second race of the day I made a much better start and came across the line for the first time of asking in fourth position and right on the bumper of the top three. At this point I had a decision to make, to make an attempt to challenge for a podium or to back of a little and ensure another solid finish and with it the second of those important scribbles of ink. With both John Hillon and John Mawdsley glued to my rear bumper I had to make that decision fast! “Sod it” I thought to myself, what’s the point at being up at the front if you are not going to give it a go. By lap three the top two of Michael Thurston and Luke Schelwitz had built a nice little gap over Andy Burgess, myself and the two aforementioned John’s. The four of us remained in that order (and in very close company) until lap nine where I was presented with an opportunity that I simply couldn’t see go to waste.
